Background and Workshop Objectives

Following upon the success of the three previous DiVA workshops, the September meeting will focus on the issue of defining objectives and requirements for realizing data model compatiblity between visualization components. For additional background on the workshops in general, please refer to the previous workshops.

One result from the workshop will be a document that lists the consensus we reach concerning an inter-component data model(s), scope of such data model(s), and recommended next actions.

Pre-Workshop Homework

It would be useful for each workshop participant to fill out the survey as the price of admission for this workshop. As this survey was designed by a committee of people with a broad set of interests, it has gotten quite long. However, answers to this survey are essential to motivate our discussions in the upcoming meeting. You don't need to answer all of the questions -- just the ones for which you have informed opinions. Please try to provide minimal answers at least 3 days prior to the workshop so that there is time to compile everyone's responses for discussion.
