The Display tab on the property
sheet associated with a data object in ParaView has a region for adjusting
the color of the actor as shown on the right. In the example shown the
Color by selection has been set to Property, and an Actor Color button
is displayed allowing you to choose a new solid color for this actor.
The Color by setting can instead be set to any scalar or vector component
of this data object. When the setting is not Property, then the Actor
Color button is disappear, and the Edit Color Map option will appear in
the View region of this property sheet.
