XDATA TEAM

Scaling Analytics to Image-centric Experimental Data

Dani Ushizima, Ph.D. - team leader
Nano and micro structures from data coming from national laboratories instruments and simulations, including collaboration with industry and academia to find motifs to support image understanding and decision making. Dr. Ushizima leads the XDATA team and the CAMERA Image Analysis Branch. She is also the Deputy Group Leader of the Analytics/Visualization, Staff Scientist at the CRD, LBNL, and a Data Scientist Fellow at Berkeley Institute for Data Science (UC Berkeley). She is also one of the 2015 DOE Early Career Awarded scientists, focusing on scaling Analytics for image-centric experimental data. Science domains areas included: (1) emerging algorithms for dealing with complex and large datasets; (2) pattern recognition and machine learning applied to scientific data; (3) advances in evolving computer architectures.
