Progress: Technical

Presented the paper titled "Implementing Virtual Reality Interfaces
for the Geosciences" at the meeting "Virtual Reality in the Geosciences"
in Halden, Norway on 24-26 June.  

Created visualizations for this paper using data from BP-Norway.  These
included stills, an MPEG movie, and a videotape showing the use of the
VR input devices to control various visualization and computing parameters.
There was no similar work presented at the meeting, and it was well
received.  The closest technically-related project was from the
Reality Centre in the UK which used a conventional mouse as an input device
for the purposes of (engineering) plant design.

Ported Virtual Reality device drivers for use in the Khoros environment.

Plans for Next Month
	
Write a final report for this project which will conclude at the end
of this month (the end of FY96).

Place appropriate source code on our anonymous ftp server.
